How often do your billing cycles run?
At this stage Livestate runs a monthly billing cycle. Seven(7) days prior to the end of the current billing cycle you will receive an invoice sent to your primary email address. From this email you will be able to login to your Client Acount and pay for the next billing cycle via Paypal.
What type of payments do you accept?
Currently we are only accepting PayPal payments due to the fact that they are a well known and trusted name, and registration is not required. Registered PayPal users will still be able to login to their PayPal account and confirm transaction details from there.
Am I entitled to a refund if I cancel during the middle of a monthly billing cycle?
You must cease your hosting account prior to the commencement of the new billing cycle ir order to be entitled to any refunds. Our monthly billing cycle is for the full duration of the month or 'part there of'.
How long does it take for my account to be activated?
Your account is normally setup immediately but we guarantee full access to your service within 24 hours from the time you place the order. This is due in part to payment processing; domain name propagation; and domain transfer processing. You will receive a detailed email from Livestate Activemedia once your order has been approved, outlining your service access details.
Will you assist migrating my hosting account from another service provider?
Yes, as long as you are using the same control panel. Please follow the normal order procedure. Once you receive your welcome email please login to your Livestate Activemedia Client Account and open a Hosting Support ticket requesting assistance migrating your old account.
Can I host Adult, Warez or Illicit sites or content?
No, please see our AUP for permissible and non-permissible content. Generally speaking, if you suspect or know that what you want to deliver from your hosting account is illegal or inappropriate then chances are it is. Accounts that fall into this generality may face termination.
Are there any advertisements displayed on my website?
No, your website is your exclusive domain. You may however include a Hosted by Livestate Acivemedia link at your discretion. Text links may be used or Logos can be downloaded by visting the Livestate Network link. We offer prominent positions on the Livestate Showcase for sites that feature a 'Hosted by Livestate' link. Feel free to enquire about this for more information.
Is there a limit on the number of accounts allocated to the shared IP address pool?
Yes. We have a range of IP addresses that we provide to our shared accounts and monitor the quantity of sites referred by each IP. Once the shared account cap is reached new sites automatically transfer to a new shared IP.
Do you have an uptime guarantee?
Yes, we offer a 99.9% network uptime guarantee. If at any time our servers fail or you experience any extended downtime as a result of server upgrading we will offer partial or full credit towards your next billing cycle.
Do you offer managed VPS and Dedicated Servers?
No, at this stage we are only offering shared hosting packages, however we do have plans to provide both VPS's and Dedicated Servers at a later date.
Do you offer Windows Server hosting?
At this stage Livestate is only offering Linux server hosting. All of our servers are installed with the latest distributable of CentOS Linux, a highly popular and robust operating system.
Can I purchase exclusive IP's for my shared account?
Dedicated IP addresses are included with all of our Excel Tier website hosting plans at no extra cost. Exist and Expose Tier hosting plans have the option of purchasing a dedicated IP address at $2 per month.
Can I upgrade my account at a later time?
Yes, you can upgrade your account at anytime. Please login to your Livestate Activemedia Client Account and open a Sales/Hosting Support ticket with your request and we will take care of the rest. Please note: once your plan is upgraded you cannot request a downgrade of the same plan for at least one month.
Can I just upgrade some areas of my account?
Yes, however this is at Livestates discretion. We understand that you may not need to upgrade to a full hosting service from your current service, but may only require additional databases or email accounts. You can request these types of upgrades from your Livestate Activemedia Client Account.
Do you offer any development assistance for website designers?
Yes. Please visit our Development Tools section from the main menu and have a look at the list of tools and online services that we have collated for the benefit of our clients. If you feel that a noteable service should be included here then please let us know and we'll look into it.
Do I need my own domain name when signing up for a hosting package?
Yes, in order to purchase a hosting package you will need your own domain. However you can register a new domain name at the commencement of the order process, opt to transfer your name to our domain hosting server, or update your own domain name to point to our nameservers.
Can you register domain names for me?
Yes, domain names can be registered as part of our hosting packages or as a standalone service.
Can I register a .com.au and .net.au through Livestate?
Yes, however you should consider the rules associated with the registration of Australian TLD's. Without the appropriate authority to register the domain name it may simply be stripped from you and you may forfeit the expense of registering the domain in the first place. Please look at our Domain Names area for more info.

How do I submit a ticket?
We give you the option of submitting a ticket by simply sending us an email which can be tracked and monitored via our support desk, or you can also submit a ticket through your Livestate Activemedia Client Account.

Do you update your server software to the current stable releases?
Our servers are updated as soon as a new stable release is provided for installed software including PHP and MySQL. We do however monitor these releases and deem what is critical and what is incremental and assign importance to critical updates first.
